When was the New Year?
Mood:  chillin'
It was a beautiful night in India. Everyone around me including the cold air wanted to attend a rock-n-roll party. Yup! It was the New-year's night. And things were relative again.
One of my friends called up his elder brother who lives currently in the United States. The simpleton wished him a happy new year. To his suprise, the brother said that the New year over there was after nearly ten hours. And you all know why this happened. The most unexpected question came to my mind. Where on this whole earth was the first New year celebrated? Was it somewhere in the east or somewhere in the north. Relative to time, the new year was never an absolute event. Its time of occurance changed from person to person. It looks a bit strange that we don't exactly know when the year really ends.
But who really cared so much after the minds all along which worked for a year and were enjoying its jubiliant mood for a night. No one would really care!
